Moonee Valley Lost Pets Moonee Valley's Animal Management team aims to reunite lost, unidentifiable pets with their owners. All pets featured are housed at The Lost Dogs Home.

Moonee Valley City Council’s Animal Management team will use this page to post domestic animals they have found that cannot be identified, with the aim of reuniting lost pets with their owners. We encourage you to share the images we post, to further their reach. Your share may reunite a lost pet with its owner! If you find your pet throug

If you want to enquire about a lost pet posted to this page, please call The Lost Dogs Home on 9329 2755, as this is where they are housed after being picked up by Council. If you have a more general enquiry about pets in Moonee Valley, please call Council’s Animal Management team on 9243 8888 or email [email protected]. If your dog or cat is registered with Moonee Valley and wearing a Council tag, we will attempt to contact you directly with the purpose of reuniting you with your lost pet. Haven’t registered your pet? Do it today - visit mvcc.vic.gov.au/petregistration

If a pet cannot be identified by Council officers, we will house it at the Lost Dogs Home.

Please visit The Lost Dogs Home in person if your pet has gone missing. This page only shows animals found by Council. It is not representative of all pets found and delivered to the Lost Dogs Home. You should also contact neighbouring municipalities (Brimbank, Maribyrnong, Hume, and Melbourne). CAN I POST ABOUT MY LOST PET ON THIS PAGE? Residents from Moonee Valley and neighbouring municipalities are welcome to post images of lost pets on this page; provided they follow these conditions:
- it must not be used to offer rewards for finding pets (financial or otherwise)
- it must not be used for commercial advertising purposes
- it must not contain unsuitable or defamatory language either directed towards, or used against any person(s) or organisation(s)
Posts which do not follow these conditions will be removed. Please do not include residential addresses (providing the suburb is fine). If your pet is found, we recommend you delete your post. Under no circumstances is Council responsible for content posted onto this page which it has not authored itself. I HAVE FOUND A LOST PET, WHAT SHOULD I DO? If you have found a pet that is lost, please notify Council’s Customer Service on 9423 8888. This is a legal requirement, and provides owners a greater chance to find their pet.
