Our flourishing communal garden provides fresh fruit and a welcoming space for residents to enjoy. Thanks to Karen's dedication and care, the garden has become a much-loved feature of the apartments!

Earlier this month, the Neurological Alliance Australia (NAA) Neurological Summit was held at Parliament House, bringing together people with lived experience, clinicians, researchers, parliamentarians and sector leaders to discuss how neurological care and outcomes can be improved across Australia.

The Summit also marked the release of Australia’s first national neurological survey, capturing the experiences of 3,805 Australians.

The findings highlight significant gaps in care:

🧠 1 in 2 reported difficulty accessing neurological care
⌛ Nearly 1 in 3 waited more than four years for a diagnosis
💰 Almost half delayed or skipped care because of cost
🔄 Only 4 in 10 described their care as coordinated

For many people and families, these challenges mean navigating complex systems on their own.

The findings reinforce the need for earlier diagnosis, better access to specialist care, and stronger coordination across health, disability and support services.

Exercise physiology can play an important role in helping people living with MS stay active and work towards their health and wellbeing goals.

Through tailored exercise programs, our exercise physiologists support customers to build strength, improve mobility and balance, enhance walking ability, and manage fatigue safely and effectively.

Working alongside our physiotherapists and occupational therapists, they help customers build confidence, independence and capacity for everyday life.

Our Employment Service Leader Abbey Griffiths, recently teamed up with Molly Dobbins from the Queensland Tourism Industry Council - QTIC to explore the employment pathways available within the local tourism industry.

From volunteering and work experience opportunities to meaningful employment, Abbey saw firsthand how tourism businesses are creating pathways for people to build skills, confidence and connections in their community.
