600 new social housing homes are coming across Victoria🏡

At least 25 per cent will be built in regional Victoria, and 10 per cent will be allocated to Victorian First Peoples.

All new homes will be allocated to people on the Victorian Housing Register, with 75 per cent going to individuals and families on the priority housing list

We’re so close to welcoming new, returning and relocating residents at Simmons Street, South Yarra 🏡

522 social, affordable and publicly owned market rental homes are nearing completion.

A much-loved community garden has been given a new lease on life. 🌱

We've worked with Cultivating Community to relocate 40 garden plots from 33 Alfred Street to the nearby Buncle Street Reserve.

Residents are continuing to garden together, maintaining the friendships, routines and sense of community they’ve built over the years.

The redevelopment of 33 Alfred Street will deliver more and better homes for Victorians, while spaces like the Buncle Street Community Garden mean connections stay strong through change.

54 new social housing homes are ready for renters in East Geelong 🏡

They are modern, accessible, energy-efficient, and close to schools, employment, transport and services.

All homes have a private outdoor courtyard or balcony. Outside, shared gardens incorporate biodiverse indigenous and drought-tolerant plants🌱

We’re keeping residents comfortable in our older high-rises ahead of their redevelopment.

We’re making great progress on our high-rise cooling program. Nearly 2,000 residents are now enjoying the benefits of new cooling units.

This makes a big difference to residents living in the older concrete high-rises.

The units are easy to use and portable. That means residents like Chris can take them if they relocate.

Major electrical works are needed to upgrade the old systems. This is already underway on the next 14 high-rises so residents can stay comfortable this summer.
