Our next chapter is taking shape at Emmy Monash.
We’ve officially launched our Strategic Plan for 2026–2030, sharing it with staff, residents and our community through a series of information sessions.
President Rod Nirens and CEO Tanya Abramzon outlined the vision and priorities guiding the years ahead, and the opportunities this next chapter will bring.
It’s an exciting time for our organisation, as we move forward together with a clear sense of direction and purpose.

Our residents recently visited the First Nations art exhibition at Glen Eira Town Hall, returning inspired by the richness and detail of the Indigenous artworks.
That inspiration found its way straight into our creative arts program, where residents used dot painting techniques to create their own artworks inspired by Australian wildlife.
Their pieces will soon be on display at the Corner Store, extending the connection from the gallery into our community.
Experiences like these support creativity, connection and wellbeing.

Through our Bridging the Gap program with Mount Scopus Year 9 students, residents and students connect through shared experiences, meaningful conversations and plenty of laughter.
From traditions to technology, it’s a two way exchange, building friendships and creating real connections across generations.
At today’s session, Around the Shabbat Table, residents and students shared stories about their family traditions, celebrating the diversity of Shabbat experiences.

We were delighted to welcome an Upper Kinder class from The King David School to Emmy for their first intergenerational Shabbat program with us for this year. Residents and students came together to share the experience of making challah, followed by Shabbat blessings.
This marks the beginning of a special series over the coming months, creating meaningful intergenerational Shabbat experiences.

We dusted off the teapots and our finest china and came together to host a Biggest Morning Tea in support of cancer research. It was a simple but meaningful way to give back and acknowledge those impacted. Residents and staff shared delicious treats and good company. We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together in support of such an important cause. We were thrilled to raise almost $400 on the day for the Cancer Council Australia.
