1. What is your main area of expertise within the Taskforce role?

"As State Manager, I lead our Western Australia workforce of 300, translating insights into action to drive positive change for job seekers, employers, and the local labour market."

"I bring extensive leadership experience from the sales and telecommunications sectors with a proven record of resolving workforce and recruitment challenges."

2. How you can assist with a localised approach to employment barriers, labour gaps, upskilling etc what are you hoping to achieve through your involvement?

"By prioritising my time on the ground in Perth South, I aim to help shape connection and collaboration across key industries, employers, training organisations and community services."

3. What is your main driver/motivator?

"I’m a passionate advocate who believes that collaboration and diversity will strengthen our community. This will, in turn, create opportunities, ensuring our workforce is inclusive and resilient."

On the 19 November 2025, Local Jobs Perth South, in collaboration with APM, Business Foundations and ABS Institute, hosted a dynamic Self Employment Assistance (SEA) workshop for Workforce Australia employment service provider clients. The event welcomed over 50 participants.

Attendees were inspired by powerful personal stories from our guest speakers:

Where is the door? is a project to help people better navigate community services in the local government areas of Cockburn, Fremantle and Melville.

The project is responding to an increased need from community members, due to higher costs of living, housing pressures and other demands creating increased stress for individuals and families.

Many people find themselves looking for support for the first time and do not know where to start. Yet, the earlier people seek help, the more options are available and the easier it is to stop problems from worsening.

Main area of expertise within the Taskforce Role?

"I bring expertise in apprenticeships and traineeships through my role as State Manager of Apprenticeship Support Australia. This includes contract delivery, employer engagement, mentoring, and career support across WA. I have strong experience in workforce planning, compliance, and program design across many industries."

How can I assist with a localised approach / what I hope to achieve?

"I can contribute by providing on the ground intelligence from employers, apprentices, and stakeholders on emerging skills needs, barriers to entry, and retention challenges. My focus is on co-designing local solutions that connect young people, women, and under-represented groups with sustainable career pathways. Through this Taskforce, I hope to strengthen collaboration and accelerate skills development aligned with WA’s growth industries."

Main driver / motivator?

"I am driven by creating real opportunities for people to access meaningful work, while helping employers build skilled, future-ready workforces. My motivation is to ensure apprentices and trainees not only commence but thrive, delivering long-term benefits for individuals, businesses, and the community.
