TOTAL FIRE BANS have been declared for Tuesday 31 March 2026 in the following Fire Ban Districts:

Mount Lofty Ranges - Extreme

Where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted.

The Total Fire Ban will apply for 24 hours from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow.

The CFS recommends that you implement your Bushfire Survival Plan.

Fire Danger Ratings
Where fire ban districts have a forecast fire danger rating of Extreme, only well prepared, well constructed and actively defended houses are likely to offer safety during a fire.

What should you do
If you don't have a plan to ensure your survival, leaving early before a fire starts is your safest option.

In making your plan, you should be aware that in high fire danger conditions, essential services including mains-fed electricity and water supply may not be available due to the prevailing weather conditions.

Landowners are asked to adhere to local harvest codes of practice which are available from your local council. Landowners are also asked to ensure that any burn-off activities conducted today are fully extinguished before midnight tonight.

Agencies are advised to activate their Total Fire Ban procedures in preparation for these predicted fire weather conditions

It’s fantastic that our station was used to host an educational event for Heathfield High School.

Thanks to our Captain David Kumnick hosting on behalf of our Brigade.
We hope the students took away some valuable knowledge.

Deep Creek Fire, Fleurieu Peninsula 2026.

On the 2nd and 3rd of January, our CFS brigade was called to join another strike team with our Onkaparinga Group to attend the Deep Creek fire which other CFS crews had been battling in the days prior.

Unfortunately, fire behaviour can be unpredictable, and crews work hard to keep it at bay. However, when the wind picks up and Mother Nature intervenes, it can undo all that hard work.

All CFS crews have been working tirelessly 24 hours a day, with swing shifts coming in overnight and fresh crews coming in the day to relieve our volunteers.

As the Sun still sits hot in our skies with no rain on the radar the fire still burns. So as a result, our CFS brigade and many other CFS crews will be called up in the coming days.

If you would like further information on this fire visit cfs.sa.gov.au.

Your drone footage is not worth more than our members’ lives

Aerial firefighting at the Katarapko fire was forced to stop after an illegal recreational drone was spotted overhead.

That one drone grounded aircraft, delayed firefighting, and put air crews at serious risk.

This is the third drone incident this month.

Drones can collide with aircraft causing catastrophic consequences.

👉 If you fly, we can’t. Keep drones well away from firegrounds.

Last week was a busy one for our CFS Brigade….

Sunday was Fox Creek Fire that kept us and other Brigades busy.
Monday was a Strike Team to the Tooperang Fire
Tuesday was a Farm incident, machinery roll over minor injuries sustained.

So we are happily putting our feet up waiting for this little heat wave to pass.

Remember we have another Total Fire Ban Tomorrow (28/01/26)

Be ready to Be Safe.
