This is more uncertainty for workers, families and communities across Northern Tasmania who deserve better.
After everything workers at Bell Bay have already been through, today’s update is deeply disappointing.
Right now, the most important thing is people.
Please look out for each other over the weekend.
Check in on your mates, your colleagues, your neighbours and your family. Don’t assume someone is okay because they seem okay. Ask the question. Send the message. Make the call. Drop in.
And if you are struggling, please tell someone. Tell a mate how you’re feeling. Tell your partner, your family, your GP, or someone you trust. You do not have to carry this on your own.
Free mental health and wellbeing support is available.
You can walk into the Launceston Medicare Mental Health Centre for free, in-person support. No appointment or referral is needed:

Support for Liberty Bell Bay workers and families is also listed here:

Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14.
Northern Tasmania is a strong community. I know people will step up for each other, as they always do.
And over the weekend, we will keep working through every viable option for a secure future for Liberty Bell Bay.
