📱 TEST ALERT COMING TO PORT LINCOLN

AusAlert is being tested in Port Lincoln at 11:00 am on Saturday 20 June 2026.

AusAlert is Australia’s new national emergency alerting capability. It will be used to send urgent official messages to compatible mobile devices during emergencies.

As part of testing, compatible mobile phones, tablets and smart watches in the Port Lincoln area may receive a Priority Alert. Depending on your device and settings, the alert may vibrate and play a loud siren-like sound for around 10 seconds.

This is only a test. No action is required.

If receiving the test alert could be disruptive or cause you or someone you know to feel unsafe, visit ausalert.gov.au to learn more about the test and how to manage Priority Alert settings on compatible devices.

🧡 Today is Wear Orange Wednesday, or WOW Day.

Across South Australia, SES volunteers give their time, skills and energy to help communities during storms, floods, rescues and emergencies.

They leave their homes, families and workplaces to support others, often in difficult conditions and at short notice.

Today, we say thank you.

Thank you to every SA State Emergency Service volunteer for the role you play in keeping our communities safe, informed and supported.

You are a vital part of South Australia’s emergency services sector, and your contribution is deeply valued.

Wear something orange today, share a message of thanks, and help recognise the incredible work of SES volunteers across the state.
