We're over the moon to have Margie Nightingale MP back as a Silver Sponsor of the Inala Multicultural Festival.

For Margie, her involvement in this event and the impact on the community is deeply personal. Inala is her home and a region she is so passionate about. From volunteering as a teenager to representing this community in parliament today, Margie has never stopped showing up for the people of Inala.

We can’t wait to see her back at the Inala Multicultural Festival on Tuesday 30th June. Thank you, Margie! 🌏

Looking for a fun and welcoming space to connect with other mums while your little ones learn and play?

Our Stay and Play mums and bubs group is a wonderful opportunity for mums, babies and toddlers to come together, build connections and enjoy a morning filled with music, story time, creative activities and plenty of free play.

Delivered as part of our CHAA POD program, Stay and Play creates a safe and supportive space for families to connect, share experiences and celebrate their children’s growth and development together.

A special thank you to the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust for their generous support, which helps make this group possible for our community.

This marks the 15th CROSSROADS program delivered by Inala Community House, with more than 230 practitioners and natural helpers now upskilled to better support parents and carers with children impacted by domestic and family violence.

We’re incredibly proud to offer this valuable training and play a role in upskilling services and CHAA natural helpers💛

We’re also excited to share that our next CROSSROADS program will be delivered in Townsville!

To learn more about the program, visit our website https://ich.org.au/community/crossroads/ or contact our friendly team at [email protected] to be advised of upcoming Brisbane program dates.

A huge thank you to Bev for her incredibly generous donation of a sewing machine to support our African Women’s Groups through Community Healing and Accountability (CHAA). 💛

This donation is about so much more than sewing. It represents community, connection and women supporting one another through shared skills, confidence building and opportunities for greater independence and financial freedom.

We’re so grateful to community members like Bev who continue to show up and make a meaningful difference.

As these groups continue to grow, we’re still looking for a few more good quality sewing machines, fabric and sewing-related materials. If you’d like to contribute, please contact us at [email protected]

Walk Safely to School Day 🚶‍♀️Today is all about encouraging healthy habits for young Australians, creating safer streets, and caring for our environment.

Here are some simple ways to support safe journeys to and from school:
🤝 Hold hands - children under 10 should always hold hands with an adult when crossing the road
🦺 Be visible - wear bright clothing or colourful school bags to help drivers see you
🚦 Use crossings - always cross at designated pedestrian crossings

Let’s take each step safely and look out for one another 💛

Three years as our gold sponsor! Let that sink in. 🎣

The Blue Fin Fishing Club have been with us since the early days, and their commitment to this festival, and to this community, is nothing short of extraordinary. Since 2012, they've put over $2 million back into our local area, and we are so honoured to have their involvement in the Inala Multicultural Festival.

The Blue Fin Fishing Club Stage is going to be pumping on Tuesday 30th June with incredible cultural performances, a massive crowd, and the vibrant energy of the Inala community.

Thank you to the entire team at Blue Fin Fishing Club for their ongoing support – make sure to stop by their stall on festival day!
