Howard Torbanlea Rural Fire Brigade are conducting three hazard reduction permit burns today throughout Howard and Pacific Haven

12pm - Southern side of Pacific Haven Drive - Howard
2pm - Ranch Park Drive - Pacific Haven
5pm - Marina Drive - Pacific Haven
(These times are appropriate and depend on how each fire goes)

Howard Torbanlea 41 and 51 fire trucks will be in attendance.

Smoke may affect residents and motorists in the area. Residents should close their doors and windows and keep medication close by if suffering from a respiratory condition. Motorists should use caution and drive to conditions.

Howard Torbanlea Rural Fire Brigade are conducting a hazard reduction permit burn on the north east side of Pacific Haven Circuit.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) has imposed a local fire ban for North Coast residents.

The local fire ban will be in place from 7.50am Wednesday 10 March 2021 for residents in the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast and Gympie Regional Council areas.

The ban is expected to remain in place until 11.50pm Tuesday 16 March 2021.

Under this local fire ban, all open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled. For exemptions and more information, visit: www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au.

QFES encourages people to use extreme care and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start.
