Lions Club of Sydney Inner West Inc.

Lions Club of Sydney Inner West Inc. Lions Club of Sydney Inner West was founded in 1998 with it's charitable efforts focused in two areas, Children and Elderly. We are here to 'SERVE'.

Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy. Lions Club of Sydney Inner West was founded in 1998 as a Chinese based Lions Club. The third Chinese based Lions Club in Sydney. Initially named Lions Club of Ashfield Inner West with its charter members

from the Ashfield area. Later our Past President Jonathan Yee had changed its name to Lions Club of Sydney Inner West to attract more people to join. Even though we have a Chinese base membership, membership is open to all people of the community in good standing by invitation. The PURPOSE of our Lions Club is to assist and Serve and Lions Club of Sydney Inner West aims to serve the 'Elderly' and the 'Children' of our local community.

On behalf of the Sydney Inner West Chinese Lions Club, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us at last night’s 2025 Christmas Celebration.
A special highlight of the evening was having DEG Peter induct a new member into our Lions family. We are truly grateful for Peter’s support and warmly welcome our newest Lion as they begin their journey of service with us.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the presidents and members from the various Chinese Lions Clubs who attended. Your presence brought warmth, joy, and a strong sense of unity to the event, reflecting the spirit of service that connects all our clubs.
Thank you once again for celebrating this festive season with us. We look forward to continuing our shared mission of serving the community and spreading kindness together. 🎄🦁✨

On 2 September 2025, the Sydney Inner West Lions Club hosted the International Charity Gala Dinner at Bankstown Sports Club, gathering Lions and guests from around the world.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a cheque for AUD 110,000 to Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), witnessed by International President A.P. Singh and Past International President Barry Palmer.

This generous contribution will support LCIF’s global humanitarian work, from disaster relief to health and education programs.

The evening also marked a historic moment with the induction of more than 100 new members, who pledged their commitment to the Lions’ motto “We Serve.”

In addition, four new Lions clubs were officially chartered, with charters presented personally by President Singh. The creation of these clubs further expanded the service reach of District 201N5, ensuring more communities benefit from Lions’ dedication to humanitarian work.

This special night not only celebrated generosity and unity but also symbolized the ongoing growth and vitality of Lions. Through new members, new clubs, and the AUD 110,000 donation, the spirit of “We Serve” continues to shine brightly and make a lasting impact worldwide.

It was the result of a collective effort, and we extend heartfelt thanks to the N5 team whose dedication and hard work made this event possible, exemplifying our strong spirit of teamwork.
