BGB, is facilitating three R U Ok? 2 Play? events this week, in conjunction with R U OK? Day 2023.

It is a movement initiated by Matthew Stone, in Melbourne in 2022., to promote good mental health, through tabletop gaming.

BGB is hosting an event, in Adelaide, Campbelltown and Modbury.

All events are Neurodivergent and family friendly, however all children will need to be supervised by a Parent or Guadian, at all times.

The CBD event is supported by Curiositeas Tea Room

The Campbelltown event is supported by the Campbelltown Public Library

The Modbury event, is supported by Tammie Lee - Councillor & Author and the Tea Tree Gully Toy Library Inc.

This is a really interesting article about themes, in games and what is appropriate.

Dr. Melissa Rogerson, a games researcher from the University of Melbourne suggested that, "it was up to board game stores to moderate and select the content they sold, as appropriate."

The BGB Collection is moderated through online research and practical plays. You won't find games that may be readily available at other stores, because they don't align with the Mission of BGB.

There have been calls for a "vulgar" card game making light of the holocaust, r**e and in**st to be removed from store shelves this week. But the Australian Classification Board says it has no plans to start rating tabletop games.

Some of the terminology isn't ideal but this article and video illustrates the benefits of tabletop gaming, for the Neurodivergent community.

There are many NDIS Providers and some Local Councils, in Australia who use D&D, in support programs.

BGB has been working towards a similar idea, for some time, using board games, card games and puzzles.

For a group of young people in South Australia, the tabletop game opens up a whole new world. It's a chance for them to have fun with people who understand them in a non-judgemental environment.

Board Game Broker

Board Game Broker is a means of redistributing tabletop games. Why keep a game gathering dust, when you can sell, buy or trade? We sell both new and second hand games.

We are a small online business based in Adelaide, South Australia.

Board Game Broker was started in 2019 as a social enterprise to provide tabletop games at low prices, especially to families with children and to promote the tabletop gaming hobby

We specialise in 'like new' quality used games and difficult to find games.
