NSW Premier’s Flood Emergency Citation Presented to Station Officer Erin Pogmore

Regional South Zone 2 (RS2) is proud to congratulate Station Officer Erin Pogmore on being awarded the NSW Premier’s Flood Emergency Citation in recognition of her outstanding contribution and service during the 2022–2023 NSW Flood Emergency Response.

The citation acknowledges the dedication, professionalism and commitment demonstrated by emergency service personnel who supported communities impacted by the significant flood events across New South Wales. Throughout the response, Station Officer Pogmore played an important role in supporting operational activities and assisting affected communities during a challenging period for the state.

The award serves as recognition of the collective efforts of emergency services personnel who worked tirelessly to protect life, property and infrastructure, often under difficult and demanding conditions.

RS2 extends its sincere congratulations to Erin on receiving this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for her continued dedication and service to Fire and Rescue NSW and the communities we serve.

Last week, our firefighters had the opportunity to attend Careers Expo held at Oxley College 🚒

This fantastic event, made possible by Regional Industry Education Partnership (RIEP) and Oxley College, brought together students from schools across the Southern Highlands and Goulburn region, with nearly 700 senior students coming through the doors throughout the day.

The event provided a great opportunity for students to ask questions about careers with Fire and Rescue NSW, learn more about the On-Call to Permanent Pathway, and gain insight into the wide variety of roles available within our organisation.

Our firefighters also enjoyed connecting with students and sharing important fire safety information relevant to young people, including kitchen fire safety and lithium-ion battery safety tips 🔥🔋
