🏠🔥 A safer home starts with a simple visit

Across Regional South 2, our firefighters don’t just respond when an emergency happens. We’re also here to help prevent one.

A Safety Visit is a free service designed to help you identify fire risks around your home and make sure you’re better prepared should a fire occur.

During a visit, our firefighters can:

🔴 Check that your smoke alarms are installed correctly and working
🔴 Provide advice about where additional smoke alarms may be needed
🔴 Help eligible residents with the installation or replacement of smoke alarms
🔴 Provide personalised fire safety advice for your home
🔴 Discuss specialised smoke alarm options for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
🔴 Help you develop safer habits that could make all the difference in an emergency

Safety Visits can be particularly valuable for older residents, people living with disability, people living alone, young families, and anyone who may need a little extra assistance to stay fire safe at home.

And the best part? It’s FREE.

🚒 To the dads and father figures who are always there…

Across Region South 2, our stations are filled with people who give their time, share their knowledge and lead by example.

Today we recognise the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, mentors and father figures among our firefighters, their families and the communities we serve.

Some wear a uniform, some support those who do, and many quietly make a difference simply by being someone others can rely on.

For everything you do at the station, at home and in your community, we hope you have a fantastic Father’s Day surrounded by the people who matter most.

Got an old, unwanted or broken-down vehicle taking up space in your garage, shed or yard?

Fire and Rescue NSW Regional South 2 is on the lookout for vehicles across the Southern Highlands to use for hands-on Road Crash Rescue training.

Your old car might have reached the end of the road, but it still has one very important job left. ❤️‍🔥

By donating a vehicle, you’re giving our firefighters the opportunity to practise vital rescue techniques, including vehicle stabilisation, cutting and extrication, helping our crews maintain the skills they need when every second counts.

Turn your space taker into a lifesaver. ❤️‍🔥

Fire and Rescue NSW Region South 2 is on the lookout for unwanted vehicles across the Zone to support vital Road Crash Rescue training, with our next training session scheduled for Batlow.

Donated vehicles give our firefighters the opportunity to practise hands-on rescue skills and techniques, helping crews across the Zone stay trained, prepared and ready when every second counts.

The vehicle you no longer need could help us train for the rescue someone else desperately needs.
