Book Fair Extravaganza - Gold Coast - Rotary Club of Coomera Valley We are the Rotary Club of Coomera Valley members who regularly bring book lovers like you an extravaganza of books, dvds & cds at our Book Fair!

Seeking hidden gems? Eager to support local charities? Are you a hungry book worm? Then this is all for you! Regatta Waters Lake is situated in Oxenford. On its shore is the Damien Leeding Memorial Park which offers a children's playground, picnic areas, bbqs, toilets and exercise equipment. The Moon Walk takes place every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm. Meet at the playground at Damian Leeding Par

k. Please wear aeroguard & bring a torch. Friendly dogs welcome & children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All ages and levels of fitness are most welcome. This is a free community initiative organised by Kim, a local Regatta Waters resident and sponsored by Oxenford Neighbourhood Watch - so there’s no catch, no sales, no MLM or shakes to buy. Come along and meet great community minded people and enjoy the fun, relaxed atmosphere as we make our way around the lake by torchlight. Meet new people, make new friends. Importantly: You participation is voluntary and you are responsible for your own health and safety.

The lake itself is suitable for secondary contact, non motorised water activities which includes rowing, sailing, kayaking and model boats. Care should be taken when entering the lake as the shores fall quickly into deep water and the depth will vary with the tide. Due to the water quality swimming is not permitted in the lake. Exercise equipment s**ttered at intervals around the lake. The distance around the lake, according to the GCCC Parks website, is 3.9 km however www.mapmyrun.com calculates it by GPS as 3.58km. Dog owners will also find an off-leash dog exercise area here and dog agility equipment.

SHARE THE GOOD NEWS!!!
Mary, the escaped Tasmanian devil, has been found safe after spending roughly two weeks in bushland near Kopps Road at Oxenford on the Gold Coast following her escape from Paradise Country - Gold Coast, Australia.

She was located by the park's wildlife team and was found to be in a weakened condition. Mary was immediately transported to a specialist veterinary hospital, where she is now recovering. While her condition has stabilised, she remains under veterinary care as specialists carry out further tests and assessments.

During the search, there were encouraging signs that Mary had been surviving in the wild. Search teams discovered s**t and the remains of kangaroo carcasses, suggesting she had been finding food, and she was also captured on several home security cameras in the area.
