We are Johnny ‘The Seagull’ and Justine aka Seagulls on the Run. A ‘mature’ couple who are young at heart, we don’t take life too seriously adding a sprinkling of crazy to everything we do, although Johnny is known to throw in just a little bit extra every now and then. We are proof that “you’re never too old to set another goal, or to dream a new dream”. C.S Lewis
We have a passion for trail running and the great outdoors, which was initially fostered in the UK. Since our arrival in Australia in 2004 we incorporated those passions with our love for adventure and travel and have visited many parks and open places to run and do all the other stuff we love doing: walking, hiking, mountain biking, canoodling (canoeing to everyone else), bush camping and 4WDing. We embrace a challenge, and are not afraid to take risks for a chance to do something different. After moving halfway around the world with our children to Australia and having no contacts or previous visits we left behind our comfortable settled life and all our family and friends for the unknown, anything is possible!! We will share with you, and the millions of other followers (we always aim BIG), our experiences both good and bad from the trails, our adventuring and the challenges we set ourselves. We want to inspire and support you to explore the magnificent trails and world around us building unforgettable memories, and our positiveness and passion to inspire you to achieve your goals.

Jobs to prep Hester 3 for the road…..

But revealed issues we didn’t know about 😳

We run with SensaTyre rim mounted TPMS on both our ute and van 🛞
And today Hester had hers installed✔️
But this revealed some issues 😳

We use the rim mounted system to:
* Measure pressure AND temp
* Avoid stress to ext valve stem
* Avoid damage whilst travelling
* Avoid loss

But they do need to be fitted, and Greg from the local tyre shop 🛞G & S tyres🛞 is our go to bloke 😊

Whilst fitting he found a puncture and advised none of the wheels had been balanced, which can lead to:
* Uneven tyre wear
* Add to stress on the van chassis and body
* Damage bearings and suspension
* Lead to sway and instability

Thankfully we have found this early and it’s been resolved 🙏🏻
And wheels are back on with a little extra bling ✨

BUT should tyres be balanced on a new van…… 🤷‍♀️

We’re ready for the unexpected 🩹🐍

Overhauled our traveling first aid set up with Survival First Aid Kits and the emergency + app

Survival use an intuitive colour-coded labeling system to make it easier in an emergency and their kits are compact and water-resistant so easy to take when adventuring.
We selected the 2 person car kit, the snake bite kit and added in a tick remover.

The emergency + app is installed on our phones to contact emergency services and share our exact geographic location as it provide GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude), street address and a what3words address

Great for when your somewhere remote 🩵
