Jo consistently goes above and beyond in her role, bringing compassion, dedication and genuine care to the people we support and to our team. Her hard work and positive attitude make a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our organisation.

At Kanyini Independent Care, we were proud to come together today to celebrate Reconciliation Week with our wonderful staff and participants.

It was a special afternoon filled with connection, conversation, and reflection as we gathered around the fire, enjoyed marshmallow roasting, and shared meaningful moments together. Events like these remind us of the importance of building respectful relationships, learning from one another, and honouring the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A heartfelt thank you to Kate Rankine for her guidance and support in helping us create a meaningful and respectful celebration.

Special thanks Jo-Anne Bowen, Miranda Poulter, Pinal N Patel, Khushi SA organising the event and making the day such a success.

We also appreciate Leila Azad and her team from GhazmelTherapy Azad for joining us and being part of the celebration.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day memorable. Together, we continue our journey of reconciliation, understanding, and inclusion.

In honour of Reconciliation Week, we invite you to join us for a special gathering where we come together with respect, connection, and care.

This is a time to reflect, share, and celebrate unity as we walk together towards a more understanding and inclusive future.

We will come together for a lunch, followed by a relaxed fire pot activity where we can sit together, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company in a calm and welcoming space.
