We need members
As sad as it is, some of our members are getting too old to continue and need to step back. They will stay on as members but their age in their 80s is taking its toll and we need some new blood in the club.
We meet on Tuesdays from 8am to 12 noon at 91 Western drive Gatton, it’s an informal meeting where we make repairs to the carts sort and stack the equipment and do some projects to help other community groups in the Lockyer Valley. And just chew the fat over a coffee or two.
We raise the funds to run the derby each year through the sausage sizzles at Bunnings Plainland, the spring festival in Laidley and other catering means at some of the events in the Lockyer valley.
The billy cart association receives NO financial sponsorship from any business in the Lockyer valley to run the event each year. Although we have tried to get them involved.
We do have some business that donate in-kind to assist us through out the year they are Lockyer waste management, Des Teis produce. Nolans transport and Bunnings Plainland. We are so great full to these businesses that support us each year.
Membership is free. All we ask is you be constant turning up on Tuesdays.
