I’ve recently read more of Elizabeth Kubler Ross’ seminal works… she is the “mother” of what we now know to be the ‘grief cycle’ … she is well equipped to guide how we live our lives and move through disappointments and grief and the sadness there as well as the strength it creates as we face them and feel them and choose to move forward through those depths… it is not a choice to experience grief but it is I believe a choice to seek help to move through it. We don’t have to do it alone. 💖💖💖

I have loved this word, and without fully understanding it’s depth have used it on occasion. Now I know it better I’m so glad I did and will continue to with intention and gravitas!

Historical references are very helpful in regard to understanding the non binary … once we look back we see how often those who identified as non-binary were often revered and the most trusted of confidants.
Whilst we may not choose it for ourselves, it’s important to understand for some this brings incredible meaning and a sense of self “belonging”, comfort and peace. Sometimes we need to just “accept” what is.

Today we celebrate International Non-binary Peoples Day.

“Reflecting on the past seven years since coming out as non-binary fills me with immense gratitude. I take this moment to thank those who have supported me in navigating this path with courage. I'm especially grateful for the incredible non-binary people I met in the early years of figuring out who I was. Their impact on my journey has been profound. They, along with the amazing trans and gender-diverse community, have become an integral part of my life.

While visibility has increased over the past years, it's crucial to acknowledge that non-binary people have existed throughout history, and in many cultures have played, and continue to play, valuable roles in society. I find great strength in this knowledge, empowering me to overcome the many barriers that persist for myself and my community.

I will continue to thrive, fight for equity, and amplify the voices of those still discovering, accepting, and embracing their own non-binary identities.”
