🔥 Winter Training at Pink Lake Bush Fire Brigade 🔥
While the weather has been cooler, and our social media rep has been slacking. the crew at Pink Lake Bush Fire Brigade certainly hasn’t slowed down!

Throughout winter, our members have continued training and preparing for the upcoming fire season. We’ve also recently taken the opportunity of a warmer night to give our trucks and equipment a well-deserved spruce up, ensuring everything is ready to go when it matters most. 🧽✨

With the warmer months fast approaching, now is a great time to get involved! There are plenty of ways to contribute, learn new skills and support our local community.

Reach out to Pink Lake Bush Fire Brigade for more information about joining the team.

Next Meeting : 1st October 2026 @ 18:00

🌾🌾 Firebreaks: A Simple Step That Makes a Big Difference🌾 As bushfire season approaches, now is the time to make sure your property is prepared.
A firebreak is a cleared strip of land that helps slow the spread of fire and provides emergency services with safe access when they need it most.

It's one of the most effective ways we can all help reduce bushfire risk across our community.

If your property is larger than 2,000m², you'll need a firebreak that is at least 4 metres wide and 4 metres high to allow fire trucks to pass through safely.

âś… Every property is different, so check the Fire Hazard Reduction Notice for your property's requirements
âś… Complete your firebreaks before the 9 October
âś… If you can't meet the standard, apply for a variation before 24 September 2026

Every property that is prepared helps make our district safer for families, neighbours, firefighters, and visitors.
