Hi everyone,
Would like to let you know our neighbour found a tiger snake in there backyard this week. They are not right next door to the golf course either & have a neat & tidy garden so it was quite a shock & having young children and a dog even more frightening. Our street does still have a few vacant blocks on it with over knee high length grass on them. All block owners have a legal responsibility to maintain their properties (occupied or not). If you are concerned about any vacant blocks near you please call the Council on 9705 5200 or Land Sales Office on 9785 9691. Both were extremely helpful when I phoned. One of the owners organised there block to be mowed the very next day (which was most appreciated) 2 Tiger Snakes were found & one Black snake. If you have kids & dogs please be especially vigilant its not even summer yet & they are clearly not just living on the golf course!

Hi everyone. Been off-line for a few weeks so apologise for lack of communication. If anyone has something to share please do so as this is why we have a Community page! :) If you have anything for sale, anything that requires fixing, need some landscaping done, have a home business or any business you would like to promote please get this information out there to other residents. To all the parents & Grandparents out there dont forget this Thursday is the relaunch of the Settlers Run Mother's Group (Morning Tea will be provided). I am going with my two kiddies (18 months & almost 4YO) & my mum is coming with me too. We really need to support the Clubs initiative to continue these sorts of Community based events & this is a great opportunity to meet other residents with children. Also to all the lovely mums I have met in our Estate & in particular at Maintop Ridge Park I hope to see you there too! :)

Would like to say a big thank you to all the ladies that were at FAB night - especially Lorraine for being our wonderful hostess this month. I encourage the women of Settlers Run to come next month Fri 14th Sep (SAVE THE DATE) as it is such a lovely, fun & interesting group to have the opportunity to meet. Everyone was so welcoming & its a great way to meet your neighbours! :)

A friendly reminder to all the ladies in Settlers Run that tonight is FAB (Friends & Bubbles) night! :) Feel free to bring a small share plate, bring your own glass and choice of drink (eg bubbles) and prepare to have an enjoyable evening. Tonight is the first time I am going myself so would be great to meet the gals that have "liked" & "posted" on our Community page. Hi everyone. Would like to announce a fantastic new initiative by Jane Bell & Naomi Ferguson to make a room available at the Club for a Mothers Group - dads & grandparents are welcome too! :)Morning tea will be provided & there is no age restriction for children attending. This is a great initiative by the Club which needs to be supported by the residents so further Community based activities can evolve in the future. Save the date for THURSDAY 30th AUGUST From 10AM. Hi everyone. Fantastic to see we already have 35 residents to date liking our new Community page. Dont forget to tell other residents about us. There are plans to have a "Family/Kids Fun Day" (once the weather starts to get warmer) & even a day @ the Mornington Races , Sunday 4th of Nov (save the date) - more details to follow closer to the day. Any other suggestions you have for getting the community together would be most appreciated. Dont forget there is the Settlers Run AGM tomorrow night (Tuesday 7th) @ 6.30pm. Did you know the Clubhouse Spike Bar runs a "HAPPY HOUR" Monday to Thursday between 5 - 6pm with discounted drink prices. So see you there :)
