In early 2024, the Corryong Show was contacted to submit nominations of previous winners of our Cookery competitions, by Liz Harfull, author of The New Blue Ribbon Cookbook.

We submitted stories and recipes from 3 of our champion cooks, and from there, local Leonie Wilson, along with her mother, Enid Lebner were selected to feature in the newest edition, alongside a featuring chapter on the history of our show!

With more than 400 images across 284 hardcover pages, this stunning book shares heart-warming stories of country show cooks; from young first-time bakers to passionate competitors in their nineties. Alongside prize-winning recipes, you’ll discover treasured tips and advice passed down through generations of cooks and show judges, all celebrating the spirit, generosity, and community behind agricultural shows.

We are selling these cookbooks as a fundraiser and are now taking orders for when our first delivery arrives! Please comment below or DM us to get your hands on a copy.

🐑🐣 Animal Nursery Co-ordinator Wanted – 2026 Corryong Show 🐐🐥

The Corryong Show is seeking a passionate and reliable volunteer to coordinate our much-loved Animal Nursery at this year’s event!

This is a rewarding role perfect for someone who loves working with animals and connecting with our local farming community.

The Role Includes:

• Sourcing animals for the nursery (working with local farmers, organising hatching chickens, etc.)
• Assisting with set-up and pack-down of gates, pens and equipment
• Supervising animals during nursery hours and ensuring their wellbeing at all times
• Coordinating the safe and timely loading and departure of animals after the event

The Animal Nursery is always a highlight for families and children, and we’re looking for someone who can help bring it to life while ensuring high standards of animal care.

If you’re organised, community-minded and happy to roll up your sleeves, we’d love to hear from you!

🎡 Introducing the 2026 Corryong Show Committee! 🎡

We’re excited to share the team who will be leading the Corryong Show into 2026! Thank you to everyone who has put their hand up to help make next year’s show bigger and better than ever. Your time, energy and passion keep this wonderful community tradition thriving as we enter into the 117th Show!

Before we look ahead, we want to take a moment to acknowledge two special people who are stepping off the committee this year- Nick and Bridie Sheather.

👏 Nick, thank you for your incredible “can do” attitude, your willingness to jump in wherever needed, and the countless jobs you’ve taken on around the grounds (often with machinery in tow!).

👏 Bridie, your valuable insights, wealth of ideas and creative suggestions have helped shape the show in so many positive ways. Your contributions have been truly appreciated.

Thank you both for everything you’ve brought to the committee since joining in 2022. Your efforts have made a lasting impact on the Corryong Show.

Here’s to a great year ahead with our 2026 committee! We can’t wait to get started!
