They'll be climbing 41 stories of the Gold Coasts Rhapsody Hotel to fundraise for the Firefighters Cancer Foundation Australia, who help QLD Firefighters dealing with the impacts of occupational cancers. A fantastic charity that is very close to our team and our hearts.

📝 Bushfire Ready 2026 | Create a Bushfire Survival Plan

A bushfire is approaching your area.

Smoke is getting thicker. Emergency warnings have been issued.

What will you do?

If you're trying to answer that question while a bushfire is already threatening your home, you've left it too late.

A Bushfire Survival Plan helps you make important decisions before an emergency, so everyone in your household knows exactly what to do if a bushfire threatens your property.

The safest place to make decisions is around the kitchen table, not when a fire is at your doorstep.

Your Bushfire Survival Plan should include:
📝 When will you leave? Decide on your trigger to leave early.
🚗 Where will you go? Plan your evacuation route and have an alternative if roads are closed.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who needs assistance? Consider children, older family members, pets and anyone who may need extra help.
🧳 What will you take? Prepare your Bushfire Survival Kit and keep it somewhere easy to access.
📞 How will you stay informed? Know where to find official bushfire warnings and who you'll contact if your plans change.

Remember, every family is different, so your Bushfire Survival Plan should be tailored to your home, your family and your circumstances.

The time to create your plan is before bushfire season, while you have time to think clearly and discuss your options together.

💬 Have you already created a Bushfire Survival Plan, or is it still on your to-do list? If you have questions about planning for your property or family, ask them in the comments below. We're here to help.
