The SA AgriTech Meetup was a fitting close to a big week at Hort Connections - bringing the ecosystem together in a meaningful way. 🚜

AgriFutures growᴬᴳ⋅ Engagement Manager Rebecca Bradford was excited to experience the SA AgriTech Meetup community in person after years of collaboration behind the scenes.

What stood out was the scale and strength of the network, now more than 2,000 members, and the role it continues to play in connecting innovators, researchers, and industry. Credit to Oli Madgett and the team for building a platform that supports those connections.

A key highlight was seeing GOVOR demonstrated live by Richard Beaumont and the Agovor team, reinforcing how important it is to take innovation beyond the screen and into real-world environments.

With technologies from AgMap, Metamorf Engineering, Agtech By Design, GoMicro and B***o with AgriAutomation also on display, the event showcased the breadth of innovation coming out of South Australia.

Still buzzing from the 2026 Australian Agritech Awards Night in Brisbane last week.

Brianna Casey, David Lord and Annabel Rogers joined 250 others from across the agritech ecosystem, and the energy in the room was a real reminder of just how far the sector has come.

Congrats to the standout winners:
🏆 Hamish Munro, Pairtree Intelligence – Agritech of the Year
🏆 Ollie Madgett received the Liz Alexander Award, which is a recognition of connector, sector builder and someone who supports the development of the ecosystem.

And all those recognised across the night - Cibo Labs, Optiweigh, Post Harvest, Number 8 Bio, Gatton Agtech Showcase and Tim Neale (Hall of Fame) - amazing to see the depth of innovation across the sector.

A special moment was also recognising Meg Lovegrove as she finishes up as Executive Officer of AusAgritech. Over the past 3.5 years, Meg has played a huge role in bringing people together and strengthening the ecosystem - from evokeAG. to the Team Australia Mission to Agritechnica.

👏 Thanks Meg, and congrats again to everyone involved.

Run the whole farm on one platform. 🧑‍💻

Sound too good to be true? RedEarthOne are making it happen.

They’re simplifying farm management by replacing fragmented tools with one platform that captures every record, workflow and report in a single system.

RedEarthOne are now seeking partners to participate in early pilots - with an initial focus on cotton producers in New South Wales.

What could fuel production closer to the farm look like?

34MJ is inviting partners to support the first commercial deployment of its modular biodiesel system for agriculture.

Designed for on-farm and regional use, the system offers a practical pathway to lower fuel costs, create new value from local feedstocks and improve energy independence.

For grower groups, co-operatives, commercial operators and research partners, this is a chance to help shape a scalable biofuel model for Australian conditions.

Exploring new paths for agrifood automation 🚜

Imitation Machines is an Australian deep‑tech company building a machine learning platform that allows robots to learn by watching people work.

They are offering select agrifood partners a free pilot to test this technology in a live operational environment. Pilot partners will work alongside the team to train robots on simple but variable tasks, such as picking, packing, sorting or loading, and help shape a solution designed for agrifood work

This is an opportunity to gain early access to new capability and help co‑shape technology built specifically for variable agrifood tasks.
