What Gerard Rennick actually stands for.
You keep hearing me say we need a real plan, not three-word slogans, well here’s a fella who’s been putting one on the table for years while nobody in the major parties would listen.
This is what Gerard Rennick and People First are fighting for.
On tax and the cost of living.
Raise the tax free threshold from $18,200 to $40,000 so ordinary Australians actually get to keep what they earn. Close the multinational tax loopholes that let the big end of town ship profits offshore while small business carries the load. Bring back a public bank like the old Commonwealth Bank so Australians aren’t at the mercy of the big four.
On families.
Pay childcare subsidies directly to parents instead of childcare centres, so mums and dads can decide how to raise their own kids. Support stay at home parents as a legitimate choice, not punish them for it.
On superannuation.
Make it voluntary. After 30 years of compulsory super, over half of retirees are still on the full pension anyway. The system isn’t delivering what it promised, so let workers choose.
On government waste.
Call a federal convention to streamline the mess of state and federal bureaucracies that are costing taxpayers billions every year. Cut the duplication and shrink the bureaucratic class.
On energy.
Stop subsidising renewables. Stop covering prime farmland with wind turbines and solar panels. Keep coal and gas in the mix for reliable baseload power while Australians can still afford to turn the lights on.
On sovereignty and manufacturing.
Protectionist, nationalist economics. Bring manufacturing back home. Protect Australian industry and Australian jobs. Put tariffs on the things that matter for our national security.
On immigration.
Lower it. Reduce the pressure on housing, wages and infrastructure. Put Australians first.
On health and COVID.
He crossed the floor in 2021 to oppose vaccine mandates and discrimination laws. He’s demanded proper compensation for people injured by vaccines. He’s called for accountability from the TGA and the health bureaucracy that nobody else in parliament would touch.
On free speech.
A fierce defender against bureaucratic and corporate censorship. Opposed the misinformation laws. Believes Australians have the right to speak without being silenced by the government.
This is what a real plan looks like. Policy after policy, all pointing in the same direction. Power back to ordinary Australians, away from bureaucrats, multinationals and the political class.
What’s your thoughts…?
