We are looking for talented graduates to help make a difference to the health and wellbeing of all Australians. As a Health graduate, you will help to design, develop and provide social and health related services, policies, and programs, while contributing to both the department's strategic priorities and to the Australian Government's agenda. The department's 12 month development program offers

three workplace rotations in a dynamic work environment and a diverse and challenging career path. You do not need to have a specialist health degree to join the department; we encourage people from most tertiary academic backgrounds to apply! All Health GP positions will be located in our Central Office, in Woden, Canberra. The department leads the development of Australia's health care system by providing expert policy advice, analysis, program advice and other services to our Ministers, federal and state government agencies, and external stakeholders and clients.

Today marks the beginning of Women’s Health Week 2023 – the largest event dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all women, girls and gender diverse people.

Congratulations to all candidates who have been successful in advancing to assessment centres.

We know assessment centres can be daunting. Follow the below tips to make your interview a success.

1. Check your tech – familiarise yourself with your we**am and microphone so you know they work.

2. Prepare your surroundings – make sure there’s nothing visually distracting in the background.

3. Look at your lighting – make sure we can see you!

4. Dress to impress – just like a face-to-face interview.

5. Sit where you can speak freely – be somewhere comfortable when completing your interview.
