Council is committed to preserving and rehabilitating these areas for current and future residents of the city. hcare volunteer
Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Would you like to know more about local waterways, birds, insects, plants and wildlife, and pick up some new skills while you're at it? If the answer is yes, then why not join one of our Bushcare volunteer groups? As a Bushcare volunteer, you will do your bit for the environment while rubbing shoulders with interesting and like-minded people. Bushcare groups participate in activities such as tree planting, erosion control, litter removal, w**d management, and of course, wildlife spotting. No experience is necessary - we will provide you with all the training you need. Bushcare groups
There are currently a number of Bushcare groups caring for their local areas, and more on the way...
If you are not yet a member of Bushcare, but would like to join, please contact Council’s Environment team on 4645 4601, or email [email protected] so we can register you into the program. Remember, if you have the time, you can join more than one Bushcare group! Please note: It is a requirement to register your interest into the Bushcare program before you attend a Bushcare activity. • Scattergood Reserve, St Helens Park - fortnightly
• Milton Park / Redfern Creek, Macquarie Fields - monthly
