There's a notice heading for your letterbox that most people skim and set aside. It's worth a proper read this time.
New property valuations have just gone out for Burnie. The notice from the Valuer-General is the one that sets the clock ticking, and from the day it lands you have 60 days to lodge an objection if you think your valuation isn't right.
Here's the part that's easy to miss. The time to act is while that valuation notice is in your hand, not later. Once the window closes, it's closed.
And it's worth knowing where this sits. Your valuation is set by the Office of the Valuer-General, not council. So if something looks off to you, they're who you check with, and they're who you lodge with.
If your valuation notice hasn't arrived by mid-June, give the Office of the Valuer-General a call and check in. Better to know than to wonder.
Swipe through, and save this for when your notice turns up. If you'd rather get the heads up before these things land, follow along on my page.
