Today on Australian National Flag Day, we mark 125 years since our flag was first flown.

On this date in 1901, the Rt Hon Edmund Barton announced the winners of an international competition to design a flag for our nation. 125 years on, the Australian flag has been a backdrop to the celebrations, sporting achievements, service, and sacrifice that have made us who we are.

More than 1,400 patients are currently stuck in Queensland hospitals despite being clinically fit for discharge.

For some, the wait has stretched beyond 700 days, simply because the right support isn't available outside hospital.⁣

We're committed to making a difference by expanding alternatives to hospital admissions, delivering 2,600 new beds, 3 new hospitals and 10 major hospital expansions, plus educating Queenslanders on how they can stay in charge of their future healthcare decisions.

We're delivering health services when you need them, but aged care is a Federal Government responsibility. Queensland still needs a national plan to provide more aged care places, freeing up hospital beds and giving the more than 1,400 patients the care they deserve.

A big first year for the Toowoomba Manufacturing Hub ⚙️

The Hub has delivered more than 400 direct engagements with local manufacturers in the first year of it's operation, helping create and secure more jobs across the Darling Downs region, while backing industry and restoring confidence.

That means tangible, on-the-ground support for manufacturers across Southwest Queensland to strengthen their productivity and competitiveness, as well as a direct channel to inform government policy, programs and priorities.

We're reviving Queensland's manufacturing industry and delivering more jobs and better services through a stronger economy.
