Filming is underway in Western Australia's Bremer Bay for a movie adaptation of a classic Australian novel, with directors today releasing details of three Hollywood stars set to star on the south coast.

Bremer has a new outdoor lounge setting! It was sad to say goodbye to the funky cosy cane set, one of the last remaining pieces of furniture from the former owner. But I must say the new set is very comfy!

Gandon Gully now offers glamping over summer! On the terrace behind the shack now sits a 5m glamping style bell tent, the 'Boho Hideaway'. Equipped with a comfy double bed with sea views, power, lighting and folding tables. Wake up to the sound of birdsong and watch light play on the canvas roof from surrounding trees. Stare listlessly at the the sea from bed whilst strumming the guitar. Do yoga or meditate in the nearby treehouse. The space is setup for
a single or couple, but it’s possible to have two singles upon request. It's not possible to book the Hideaway separately from the shack.

Our beach shack in Bremer Bay has a beautiful new master bathroom! Thanks to lots of planning and the clever crafting of builder Simon and a local plumber, my vision of an industrial yet warm and chic design was beautifully realised. Particularly nice are the pine benchtop and exposed copper pipes and fittings. Not a bad first attempt at tiling if I do say so. Scroll through to see the before pics. *We ran out of time to put the door on, treat the concrete and build a shower hub.

The other improvements recently made at the shack was a new treehouse! It turned out magnificently and I gotta say I don't think I've ever been more proud of anything I've made! I never want to come down from it

There have been some nice improvements to the shack over the Xmas break! Part one: a new stone staircase leading up the the camping terrace, designed by the talented garden designer Jem Hanbury straight from London! See the before/after and official opening ceremony. Ribbon cut by Ziggy Baumann and inaugurated by the delicate toes of Angus the mongrel! (wheatbelt special)

Lucky bay near Esperance wins Australia's whitest beach! Nearby beaches (including bremer) are basically the same!

Lucky Bay on WA's south coast has been scientifically declared to have the whitest sand in Australia. But if you think your local beach can take the title, we want to hear from you.
