Some of you may know that my favourite charity is Share the Dignity and every year I support their Chrismas appeal by putting together a bag of toiletries and goodies to gift to a woman or teen doing it tough.

This year Nambucca Valley Circles for Girls is getting involved by holding a special circle where the girls will help me pack bags of essential toiletries, notes and hand crafted, love-filled gifts to give to a young person in need who is experiencing homelessness and/or going through tough times. I'm so excited to be holding this special circle for the girls where they get to connect, laugh, celebrate and give all in the one afternoon.

If you would like to get involved by donating toiletries, menstrual products or other special gifts for our teen bag, please send me a message. We would be SO grateful. Likewise, if you would like to put together your own bag I will be taking a delivery up to the drop off point at Bunnings around 17th November.

Yesterday we gathered for a pop up circle in Bowraville for the girls to re-connect and make a big mess together 😅. It's been a while since I've held one of our re-connection circles and I've missed them.

The girls who came along have all participated in one of our 8 week after school programs that are run throughout the Nambucca Valley. We had our first gathering 2 years ago and some of the girls are now in high school. 😀

Yesterday we talked about taking responsibility for our own well-being and happiness and how we actually have a lot of control over how we feel when we know what we need in our lives to help us to feel good.

I planted the seed that what we consume in every aspect of our lives plays a huge part in how we feel. What we eat, drink, watch, listen to, read and even who we spend time with can affect how we feel AND we also have the power to make choices about every one of these things.

And then we collaged. And made a huge mess. And it was wonderful. 🤩

Connection, conversation, moments of stillness, listening and celebrating each other. These are some of the things that make our circles so special 💖

Last week was my birthday. 🥳 51 fabulous years. ✨

And my heart is bursting 💗

I received some very beautiful heart-made gifts from my family but the gift my daughter gave me may have been the best ever.

She created, designed, printed, cut-out, glued and laminated this gorgeous hand-made personalised Appreciation Deck of cards just for me😍

I was speechless. She's been working on it for a month with input from my son and it truely took my breath away. 💖

She's 13 and a half. When she has those inevitable teenage moments when she slams a door and hates me (which hasn't happened yet) I will have my cards from her to remind me that it's not me she hates, just the situation.

Help please 🙋‍♀️🐾

We are looking for someone to care for Rosie over Christmas. Dates would be 16 - 31 Dec.

She's super chilled, very well trained, great with kids and other dogs and happy inside or outside. She hasn't met anyone yet who hasn't loved her 😍.

Ideally she'd stay with you but we're open to someone housesit at our place too.
