Meet Millie – one of our incredible Variety Heart Scholarship recipients. Millie has already consistently ranked No. 1 in Under 18 Barebow Archery in Australia and won both gold and bronze medals while representing Australia at the Trans-Tasman Challenge in New Zealand with her exceptional aim and dedication, and her journey is just getting started. 🎯❤️

A huge thank you to our incredible event partners helping bring Spin 4 Kids Barangaroo to life next Friday 25 September.

On Saturday we celebrated the talent, determination and achievements of our 2026 Variety Heart Scholarship recipients, who are pursuing their passions across sport and the arts. ❤️
 
From athletes and performers to emerging artists, it was inspiring to hear about their achievements and the goals they’re working towards. We’re proud to support them with access to equipment, coaching, training and opportunities that can help them continue to develop their talents and live without limits.
 
A special congratulations to Layla Sharp, who was presented with the Gillian Mapp Award for Outstanding Achievement. 🏆
 
A huge thank you to the Grahame Mapp Family Foundation for proudly supporting the Variety Heart Scholarships and helping talented young people continue to pursue their dreams.
 
And thank you to our brilliant performers who helped make the celebration so special. It was wonderful to see so much talent on display.

Today we’re celebrating the incredible talent, determination and achievements of our 2026 Variety Heart Scholarship recipients. ❤️

This special event brings together young people from across NSW and the ACT who are pursuing their passions in sport and the arts, with support from Variety helping them access the equipment, coaching, training and opportunities they need to keep moving towards their goals.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Alopecia Awareness Month. For Hallie, at just four years old, her world changed when she was diagnosed with alopecia.

Alongside the emotional challenges came a financial burden her family never expected, with custom-made wigs costing between $4,000 and $6,000.

With the right support, Hallie has been able to experience something every child deserves - the joy of belonging, feeling confident and having the opportunity to thrive.
