Costaflores is located in the High Zone of the Mendoza River, where heights range from 800 to 1,100 meters above sea level. The viticulture we practise requires very intensive care in search of the oenologically ideal conditions. Soil cultivation and conservation, and it's microorganisms, are key. Better soil fertility is achieved by natural means (compost, manures, prunings), and weed control is
managed manually and with farm animals, and by employing different ground cover plants. Pests and diseases are prevented by using non-
toxic substances and with aromatic flowers that attract benevolent insects. This extreme care in the vineyard produces healthy grapes that are harvested by hand and selected in the vineyard before they reach the winery in optimal conditions. Once they arrive in the winery, they are fed through a conveyer belt, where they are again selected for optimal quality. Only the best fruit is used for wine production.
