قدمت سعادة أصيلة معلا، مدير عام هيئة البيئة في الفجيرة، كتاب "الحيتان والدلافين في الفجيرة" خلال مؤتمر المناخ ٢٩.​

تم إعداد هذا الكتاب المتميز بالتعاون مع فريق ابحاث الحياة البحرية في مركز الفجيرة للبحوث، وهو من تأليف روبرت بالدوين وبلادز بوزاس، ويبرز الكتاب التنوع البيولوجي البحري في خليج عُمان.​

يعد الكتاب شهادة على التزامنا المشترك بحماية هذه الكائنات البحرية والتزام دولة الإمارات بالحفاظ على البيئة، مما يتماشى مع أهداف الاستدامة الوطنية والعالمية.​

نحن ملتزمون معًا بتحفيز العمل الفعّال وحماية النظم البيئية وضمان مستقبل مستدام للمحيطات.​

H.E. Aseela Moalla, Director of the Fujairah Environment Authority, proudly presented The Whales and Dolphins of Fujairah book during COP29.​

This remarkable publication, created in collaboration with the Fujairah Research Centre's marine team and authored by Robert Baldwin and Balazs Buzas, showcases the marine biodiversity of the Gulf of Oman.​

The book stands as a testament to our shared commitment to protecting these marine creatures and to the UAE’s dedication to environmental conservation, aligning with both national and global sustainability goals.​

Together, we are committed to driving effective action, protecting ecosystems, and ensuring a sustainable future for our oceans.​

تُعد المخلفات الحيوية لنخيل التمر أكثر من مجرد بقايا زراعية، فهي تمثل مصدرًا قيمًا لإنتاج الفحم الحيوي، وهو مادة غنية بالكربون تُنتج من خلال عملية التحلل الحراري.​

عبر إعادة استخدام هذه المخلفات وتحويلها إلى فحم حيوي، يمكننا معالجة تحديين رئيسيين: تقليل النفايات الزراعية وتعزيز صحة التربة. كما يُسهم هذا الابتكار في دعم الزراعة المستدامة وتحسين إدارة الموارد بفعالية.​

كما يبرز دوره في الصيانة التنبؤية، من خلال تحليل البيانات للتنبؤ بأعطال المعدات وتنفيذ الصيانة في الوقت المناسب، مما يضمن استمرارية التشغيل ويقلل التكاليف.​

In a significant step forward for marine biodiversity studies, the FRC technology team has collaborated with the marine research team to integrate Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into seashell identification. This effort, led by Senior FRC researcher Sabhah Alhmoudi, has resulted in the meticulous cataloging of 135 seashell species from Fujairah's onshore and offshore areas. Each species has been carefully photographed, with the annotation process now underway, marking a new era in marine research.​

في خطوة مهمة نحو دراسة التنوع البيولوجي البحري، تعاون فريق التكنولوجيا في مركز الفجيرة للبحوث مع فريق البحث البحري لدمج تقنيات التعلم الآلي والذكاء الاصطناعي، في عملية التعرف على الأصداف البحرية. وقد قادت هذا الجهد الباحثة صباح الحمودي، حيث قامت بتوثيق 135 نوعاً من الأصداف البحرية بدقة من المناطق الساحلية والبحرية في الفجيرة. وقد تم تصوير كل نوع بعناية، ويجري حالياً العمل على عملية التوصيف، مما يمهد الطريق لعصر جديد في أبحاث الحياة البحرية.​

Experiments have shown that high temperatures increase the series resistance (Rs) and decrease the parallel resistance (Rp), reducing system efficiency. Meanwhile, solar irradiance amplifies their overall impact on panel performance.​

استمرارًا في ريادة مركز الفجيرة للبحوث في حماية الحياة البحرية وابتكار حلول مستدامة، طور المركز نماذج أولية للشعاب المرجانية مستوحاة من الهندسة المعمارية الإماراتية التقليدية، وخصوصًا "مشهد" التي تعتمد على سعف النخيل والمواد الحيوية.​

تهدف هذه الهياكل المستدامة إلى تعزيز التنوع البيولوجي، واستعادة النظم البيئية البحرية المتضررة، وتوفير موائل آمنة للحياة البحرية.​

يجمع المشروع بين الحكمة التراثية الإماراتية وأحدث الأساليب العلمية، بما يشمل اختبارات تصميم دقيقة ومراقبة بيئية في الوقت الفعلي.​

تأتي هذه المبادرة لتجسد التزامًا راسخًا بنهج صديق للبيئة، يحترم الهوية الثقافية الإماراتية، ويعزز الجهود العالمية لحماية البيئة البحرية.​

Continuing its leadership in marine life conservation and innovative sustainable solutions, the Fujairah Research Center has developed reef prototypes inspired by traditional Emirati architecture, particularly the "Mashad," which utilizes palm tree leaves and biomaterials.​

These sustainable structures aim to enhance biodiversity, restore damaged marine ecosystems, and provide safe habitats for marine life.​

The project combines the richness of Emirati traditions with cutting-edge scientific methods, including rigorous design testing and real-time environmental monitoring.​

This initiative reflects a steadfast commitment to an eco-friendly approach that respects the UAE’s cultural identity while supporting global efforts to protect marine environments.​

التلوث البلاستيكي يؤثر على الحياة البحرية وكائناتها.​

أثناء إجراء الباحثين لتحليل الميكسوزوا، وهو تحليل يتم عمله لفحص أمعاء الأسماك بحثاً عن الطفيليات، تم العثور على قطعة بلاستيك بطول ٢٢ سنتيمتراً داخل أمعاء سمكة، لذا وجب علينا التنبيه ونشر الوعي بالخطورة الذي يشكلها البلاستيك على الحياة البحرية.​

من الواجب والضروري زيادة الوعي العام حول هذه المخاطر والعمل بنشاط على تشجيع إعادة التدوير وتعزيز ممارسات الحفاظ على البيئة.​

The impact of plastic pollution on marine life and biodiversity is a critical environmental challenge.​

During their routine analyses, researchers found a 22-centimeter piece of plastic lodged in the intestines of a fish during standard myxozoa analysis, which is conducted to identify parasitic organisms inside fish intestines.​

This incident emphasizes the critical need for increased awareness regarding the adverse effects of plastic on marine ecosystems.​

By advocating for recycling initiatives and environmentally friendly practices, we can collectively work towards protecting our oceans and creating a more sustainable planet for us, and for the well-being of future generations

كشفت دراسة أجراها فريق مركز الفجيرة للبحوث عن فوائد صحية مذهلة للحناء بفضل تركيبتها الغنية بالمعادن مثل البوتاسيوم والمغنيسيوم والكالسيوم. وكشفت الدراسة أيضاً أن مركب (أجريمونوليد-6-أو-غلوكوبرانوزيد) الموجود في الحناء أظهر نشاطاً كبيراً ضد العديد من الميكروبات الضارة وهو مركب واعد ذو خصائص قوية مضادة للبكتيريا والفطريات، مما يشير إلى إمكانية تطويره إلى منتجات علاجية مختلفة.​

Henna, a plant of significant cultural importance in the UAE, has demonstrated remarkable potential beyond its traditional uses. A study conducted by the Fujairah Research Centre has revealed that henna leaves are rich in essential minerals, including potassium, magnesium, and calcium, which offer notable health benefits.​

Furthermore, the research identified a compound called Agrimonolide-6-O-glucopyranoside, which exhibits strong antimicrobial properties against bacteria and fungi. This finding suggests that henna could be developed into various therapeutic products, highlighting its potential as a natural antimicrobial agent that may contribute to advancements in drug development and medicine.​
