These Babies Eat Their Mother’s Skin to Survive
This behavior is called maternal dermatophagy. It has been directly documented in multiple caecilian species. In Boulengerula taitanus, the mother's skin becomes modified and nutrient-rich, while the young develop specialized dentition for peeling and eating the outer layer. Research also indicates that this prolonged mother-young contact can facilitate transfer of skin and gut microbes.

The reference image alone isn't sufficient to identify the exact caecilian species, so the package deliberately uses “caecilian” rather than assigning a species name that the image cannot establish.
