The Award was inspired by the vision and philosophy of the number-one sportsman; HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who believes in creativity as a mental capability that enables one to face challenges, solve problems and work out ideas in an unprecedented manner.
“When you face a challenge that requires finding a way out or
making a decision, you have two options: you either adopt an idea from your predecessors, or you stimulate your creativity and mental capabilities so as to develop a new idea and unprecedented way of work,” said HH Sheikh Mohammed. Through bestowal of honors and encouragement towards achieving more victories in competitions and more excellence in performance, the Award provides a significant incentive to all persons contributing to the development of sports, from creative athletes, administrators and professionals, through innovative organizations and to all personnel and members of the sport community. Being the most remarkable and exceptionally comprehensive among all other awards, this Award was made to honor creative people across three categories: Individual Creative Sports Award, Team Creative Sports Award and Corporate Creative Sports Award, which are granted to organizations, bodies and clubs that make exceptionally creative accomplishments.
